10-Item Orientation Questionnaire

The speed at which people re-orientate immediately after ECT treatment has been shown to strongly correlate with memory outcomes, and so provides a simple method to track memory progress across a treatment course. This questionnaire takes 2 minutes to administer and has been validated as a simple method for tracking memory progress, designed for use in clinical settings.

BECS

The brief ECT cognitive screen (BECS) is a brief tool (3-minute test) that is administered pre ECT and after the first week of treatment. The BECS was designed for use in clinical services and has been validated to identify early cognitive changes with ECT.
